Kúr, Jiří ; Znoj, Milan (advisor) ; Bíba, Jan (referee)
Liberal democracy is a representative goverment that combines the principles of liberal and democratic. The Bachelor thesis will be devoted to conservative criticism of the political system, which in the days of the Weimar Republic in german enviroment was formulated by Carl Schmitt and Ernst Jünger. The Weimar republic for the time of its functioning, in the period after the World War I and in the 30's, was under pressure from the extreme left and the right, immedidiately threatened its existence. On this critism of the serious crisis of the state responded Carl Schmitt in his work. The key work in this regard is the Concept of Political, which is reviewed by Ernst Jünger. This creates a critical dialogue framed by the German Conservative Revolutionary movement, criticising fragile democracy of the Weimar Republic and the leveling collectivism, the triumf of the masses of the individuals and the common man dictatorship, and the pluralism, which is a direct consequence of the deformation and degradation of parlamentarism. Key words Carl Schmitt, Ernst Jünger, the political, conservatism, nationalism, German Conservative Revolution, The Weimar Republic, crisis of parliamentarism, critique of liberal democracy

Pekárková, Eliška ; Pullmann, Michal (advisor) ; Čapková, Kateřina (referee)
The thesis deals with the forms of Jewish identity using the example of six visual artists at the Art Schools in Berlin during the Weimar Republic. The first chapter briefly describes the development of German Jewish history from the half of the 18th century until the Weimar Republic. The following two chapters focuse on the family background of the artists and on the position of female artists. The next chapter deals with the Art Schools, with their founding, organisation and their possible influence on the artists. The final part focuses on the reflection of Jewishness in the artists' artwork as well as on the particular works of art which are analysed and compared. The aim of this part is to describe the attitudes of the artists to the Jewishness in a broader social context. Tariff wage policy as a cause of the Great Depression on the Weimar repulic? Contribution to the Borchardt controversy
Mollová, Dita ; Fabianková, Klára (advisor) ; Johnson, Zdenka (referee)
The Bachelor thesis deals with Chancellor Bruning's industrial politics during Germany's great economic crisis of the 1920s and 30s. At the time, the Bruning administration ran restrictive fiscal policies and even today there is no concensus on the viability of possible alternatives. The key question remains what options did the aforementioned government possess in tackling the crisis, and to what extent was it limited by mandatory social spending, such as tariff wages. Consequently, the thesis looks at how tariff wages affected state budget and German businesses, and analyzes the extent to which Bruning's government was limited in determining restrictive policies. The benefit of the work lies in the application of tariff wage problematics onto the 1930s situation. I found out the real wages still steadily increased because of finantial market's rigidity. Together with decline in demand it deepened the crisis.
